Jagarnath Paswan, Gumla: Seven candidates, including Congress’ Sukhdev Bhagat, filed nominations for the Lohardaga parliamentary seat on Thursday. Apart from India Alliance candidate Sukhdev Bhagat, those who filed nominations on the last day include BSP’s Girijanand Oraon, Bahujan Mukti Party’s Lalit Oraon, Azad Samaj Party’s Arjun Toppo, Independent Arpandev Bhagat, Independent Ranjit Bhagat and Independent Etwa Oraon. During this time, many candidates had come to file their nominations with musical instruments.

Sukhdev Bhagat took out a procession

Earlier, India Alliance candidate Sukhdev Bhagat took out a procession from the district office located near SS Balak High School. During this time, Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, State Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Minister Alamgir Alam, State President Rajesh Thakur and many others were present with him. Many Congress workers were moving forward with these leaders raising slogans. This procession passed through the main roads of Gumla city.

Addressed public meeting after nomination

Sukhdev Bhagat reached the nomination center with some of his supporters from Nagar Bhavan, a short distance away from the Collectorate Building. Where many candidates were already sitting for nomination. After waiting for half an hour, the Congress candidate filed his nomination. After this he came to attend the public meeting organized by India Alliance. Many big leaders of JMM and Congress were present with him. During this period, strict security arrangements were made.
