After the firing in the Samastipur court premises on Saturday, an attempt was made to kidnap the murder accused who had come to surrender in the murder case in Jehanabad district court on Monday. The criminals who came in number of seven tried to carry out this incident. Although the promptness of the police of the town police station on the spot saved the life of the murder accused, the inspector present there rescued the accused from the clutches of the kidnappers, otherwise a big incident could have happened.
Attempted kidnapping of accused who reached to surrender in court
It is said that Sudhir Sharma, a resident of Imadpur village of Hulasganj police station area, was a named accused in the murder case. Reached the court on Monday to surrender in the court. During this, the accused were sitting in the lawyer’s chamber due to having lunch. In this sequence, the masked criminals who arrived in number of seven first inquired about the well-being of the murder accused and then later tried to forcibly drag him out while abusing him.

When the murderer realized that the criminals were abducting him, he started shouting loudly to save his life. Hearing the commotion, Rajesh Kumar, Additional Police Station Officer of Town Police Station, who was on the spot, reached there without wasting time seeing the ruckus and confronted the masked criminals who reached in number of seven. Murder accused Sudhir was freed from the clutches of criminals. However, seeing the police, fearing to be caught, 5 criminals escaped after getting the opportunity.
Police arrested two criminals who came to kidnap
At the same time, the police caught two criminals. Seeing the uproar here, till the time the police officers posted in the court reached, a criminal managed to dodge the police by taking advantage of the crowd. While the police is engaged in questioning an accused. The arrested accused is said to be Rajeev Kumar, a resident of Khudori village of Hulasganj police station area, from whom the police is busy in questioning.
Caught accused Rajeev’s cousin was killed in the past
It is said that Rajeev’s cousin Santosh Sharma, a resident of Khudauri village of Hulasganj police station area, was arrested in Benipur on July 15, in which five people, including Sudhir Sharma, a resident of Imadpur, were named as accused, when the opposing side came to know. It was learned that Sudhir had gone to the court to surrender himself, then Veeru Sharma along with seven of his associates arrived and with the intention of taking revenge were forcibly taking them away from the court, but luckily they were taken away from the sight of the police. The kidnapper fell, otherwise a big incident could have happened.
Interrogation of the person in custody
After being freed from the clutches of the criminals, the accused heaved a sigh of relief. The atmosphere of fear was clearly visible on his face. In this context, the city police station has told that the murder accused will be handed over to the Hulasganj police. The person taken into custody is being interrogated.
Indiscriminate firing was also done on the liquor smuggler who appeared in the Samastipur court
On the other hand, earlier on Saturday, two miscreants fired indiscriminately on a notorious liquor smuggler who was brought for production in the Samastipur court premises. In this, along with notorious liquor smuggler Prabhat Chowdhary, another prisoner named Prabhat Tiwari was also injured. Despite being injured, both the prisoners saved their lives by running towards Hajat. After the firing, there was a stampede in the entire court premises. Everyone ran here and there to save their lives. The crowd and the police bus present on the spot kept watching the criminals. At the same time, after executing the incident, both the criminals escaped on foot while firing. The police have recovered three pistol cartridges and two cartridges from the spot.
