69000 teacher recruitment: reserved category candidates surrounded CM residence, police stopped them

Lucknow: 69 thousand teacher recruitment candidates demonstrated at the CM residence on Wednesday. The police stopped the teacher candidates who reached in front of the main gate of the CM residence in different groups. Due to which everyone started sitting on the road and shouting slogans. Women candidates also joined the protestors along with their children.

At around 4 pm on Wednesday evening, 6800 reserved category teacher candidates selected under 69000 teacher recruitment reached the CM residence demanding appointment. They reached the main gate of the Chief Minister’s residence and raised loud slogans. There was a scuffle between the candidates and the police present on the spot. The protesting candidates said that the people of the Basic Education Department and the administration are breaking their promises in giving appointment letters. The police administration had assured to arrange a meeting of the candidates with the Chief Minister, but till now the meeting has not taken place even once.
