6 animals died due to lumpy skin disease in Bareilly, ban on movement of animals, FIR if animal crosses the district border

Bareilly : In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday, DM Ravindra Singh held a meeting regarding the prevention of lumpy skin disease infection. He demanded a complete ban on the movement of animals from the border. He said, in the villages where vaccination of animals is not done. (Vaccination) has not been done. It was said that vaccination should be done on priority in such villages. Animal Department officials said that last year 525 cases of lumpy skin disease were found in the district. Out of these, 06 animals had died, but this year No case of lumpy skin disease has been found so far in Varsha district. The DM directed the police, magistrate, SP traffic and officers and employees of the GST department to stop the transportation of animals from other districts. Said, if a vehicle comes loaded with animals, then return it from the border itself. Even after this, if someone does not agree, then file an FIR against him. DM said that in rural areas, some people leave the animals alone. Let’s give. Talked about making them aware. Said, lumpy skin disease is spreading. Therefore, animals should not be left alone. Even after this, if people do not agree, then an FIR should be lodged against him under the Cruelty to Animals Act.

Make those who leave stray animals aware

The DM said that if the animal gets infected in the cow shed, it should not be kept with other cows. He instructed to keep it separate. Along with this, he also talked about providing treatment. He informed the officials of Revenue Department, Panchayati Raj Department. Instructed to keep inspecting the cow shelters in their respective areas from time to time. If any symptoms are seen in any animal then report it to the Chief Veterinary Officer (CBO).

2 lakh vaccines available in the district

DM Ravindra Kumar said that in the villages where animals have not been vaccinated. Please provide its list. Vaccination should be done by taking special care in all such villages. 2 lakh vaccines are available in the district. This should be used. Apart from this, other essential medicines including Ivemectin are also available. In case of death, the infected animals will be buried in a pit 8 feet deep and 8×6 feet wide. Dig it in a pit. Keep the animal’s feet up and bury it. Add salt etc. along with it. He also told about the need to bury the things used for animals. During this, SSP Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan, CDO Jag Pravesh, ADM E Dinesh, ADM FR Santosh Bahadur Singh, PD Tejwant Singh, CBO Dr. Megh Shyam etc. were present.
