5 militants including JJMP subzonal commander Rajesh arrested from Barkagaon, Hazaribagh

Hazaribagh, Umakant: Police have arrested 5 JJMP militants from Hazaribagh district, located about 90 kilometers from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. These include a subzonal commander. Police gave this information on Wednesday (27 March).

JJMP militants used to demand levy in the name of TPC

Police said that these militants of Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) were demanding levy in the name of another militant organization Third Presentation Committee (TPC). Weapons and cartridges have been recovered from them. Police said that more than 13 cases are registered against them in Chatra, Hazaribagh and Ramgarh districts.

SP handed over the responsibility of arresting Rajesh Ganjhu to the team

Hazaribagh SP formed a special team and gave them the responsibility of arresting JJMP’s sub-district commander Rajesh Ganjhu alias Bandhan and his associates. The team has caught 5 militants including Rajesh Ganjhu with weapons and cartridges.

Police took action against these militants in this case

The police have taken this action on March 14, 2024 in the case of arson and firing of vehicles at the site of the bridge and road construction company running in Balodar village of Barkagaon in Hazaribagh district. SP Arvind Kumar Singh told in a press conference that levy was being demanded in these areas in the name of Dharamveer of militant organization TPC.

More than 13 cases are registered against Rajesh in Chatra, Hazaribagh and Ramgarh.

SP told that the police team was searching for them. Meanwhile, notorious Rajesh alias Bandhan Ganjhu, father of late Janaki Ganjhu was caught by the Bendi, Katkamdag police. More than 13 cases are registered against Rajesh Ganjhu in Chatra, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh. Cases related to kidnapping, murder, ransom, levy, extortion, arson, robbery and weapons are registered against him.

Rajesh Ganjhu left JJMP and formed a criminal gang.

SP Arvind Kumar Singh told that after leaving JJMP, Rajesh Ganjhu had formed a criminal gang. With the help of his henchmen, he was demanding levy from contractors, shopkeepers, hotel operators and bus owners. An attempt to burn the vehicles of Lal Company was also made on his instructions.

Many weapons and cartridges have been found from the arrested militants.

The police have recovered 2 country made pistols, 7 cartridges of 303 bore rifle, pamphlets thrown to give threats and other material including the mobile used in giving threats.

This is how Hazaribagh police reached Rajesh Ganjhu

SP said that on technical grounds, the police have arrested Sulendra Ganjhu, father late Pokan Ganjhu and Ariel Singh Bhokta, father late Jaynandan Singh Bhokta village Balodar police station Barkagaon. After this Rajesh was arrested.

Used to blackmail in the name of TPC

On the behest of Rajesh, Sunil Kumar Yadav father Rajendra Yadav village Biharo police station Jaynagar, Koderma and Prince Kumar Singh father Mohan Lal Singh Baradih Jaynagar have been caught from their house. SP told that blackmailing was being done by them in the name of TPC.

Police is busy searching for other gang members

Police said that many other members are also included in their gang. Everyone is being searched. The raiding team included SDPO Barkagaon Kuldeep Kumar, station in-charge Mukesh Kumar Singh and other police personnel.
