In Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, four members of the Bhagalpur gang, who lured people walking on the road with their words by saying that a huge sum of money had fallen out of the bag on the road and kept it back in the bag, were arrested by the team of the watch section of Lalbazar. Has been arrested. The names of the arrested accused have been given as Rakesh Kumar, Suraj Kumar, Raja Prasad Gupta and Rakesh Kumar. All are said to be residents of different districts of Bhagalpur. When all the accused were produced in Bankshall Court on Sunday, instructions were given to send them to police custody till 16th February. According to police sources, the victim had lodged a complaint at Hare Street police station after losing Rs 50,000 at the hands of this gang. He told the police in his complaint that on the afternoon of January 24, he had withdrawn Rs 50,000 in cash from a government bank in NC Dutta Sarani. While passing through the road, a young man came and blocked his path. That young man had two bundles of notes in his hand.
In this way the bundle of notes was kept in the bag.
The young man told him, Brother, these two bundles of notes from your bag may have fallen on the road. I got it, I have come to return it to you. The victim said in the complaint that he was surprised to see the bundles of both the notes. Before he could say anything, the young man opened his bag and placed both the bundles of notes in his bag. After this he left from there.
When the victim opened the bag, he found paper instead of currency notes.
The victim alleges that he did not understand anything after listening to the young man’s words. When the young man left from there, he opened the bag and saw the bundle of notes. There was only one real note each at the top and bottom of the bundle, apart from this, there were pieces of paper in the entire bundle. Along with this, the bundle of notes containing Rs 50,000 which he had withdrawn from the bank was missing. Only after this did he realize that he had been cheated. After this he lodged a complaint at Hare Street police station.
Lalbazar watch section team investigated
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the team of Watch Section of Lalbazar started its investigation. After this, four members of the gang were arrested with the help of pictures captured in the CCTV cameras installed at the crime scene. All four are being interrogated about how many crimes they have committed in this manner.
