Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha said that after the election results are out, there will be a meeting of the India Alliance and further strategies will be discussed in detail with all the constituent parties. He said that the demand for special category status and Kosi High Dam will be raised before Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the meeting of the Eastern Regional Council held on December 10. He said that if the Modi government at the Center does not give special state status to Bihar, then in 2024 an India coalition government will be formed at the Center and Bihar will definitely get the status of special state.

36.27 acres of land will be acquired for Darbhanga AIIMS

Here, according to the information received from the concerned department, the state government is going to give 36.27 acres of additional land to the second AIIMS of the state to be built on Ekmi-Shobhan bypass of Darbhanga. The government has given a total administrative approval of Rs 14 crore 26 lakh 23 thousand for the year 2022-23 for land acquisition. In light of this, an expenditure of Rs 10 crore nine lakh 73 thousand has been approved for land acquisition in the financial year 2023-24. Cabinet approval has been given in November 2021 for the establishment of the second AIIMS in the state. The alternative plot is located along the Ekmi-Shobhan bypass of Bahadurpur zone. Under the proposed plot, there is a total of 152 acres 67 decimal land as per Khatiani area in the name of Bihar Government. This land has been inter-departmental transfer from the Revenue and Land Reforms Department.
