An order has been issued to increase the salary of 35,000 contract drivers and conductors of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. For a long time, contract workers were demanding salary increase. Finally, Uttar Pradesh Raj Road Transport Corporation Managing Director Masoom Ali Sarwar confirmed the increase in the salaries of contract workers of UP Roadways. 35000 contract drivers and operators of roadways will now start working with full honesty to increase the income of the department. The reason is that now their salaries have been increased by the Roadways. According to the order issued by the corporation administration, the salary which till now was given to the contract workers at the rate of Re 1 75 paise per kilometer will now increase to Re 1 89 paise per kilometer. This order will come into effect from December 1, 2023. Apart from this, the rates of Uttam and Uttam Incentive Scheme have also been revised by the Transport Corporation Administration.
There was no change in their rates
There has been no change in the current remuneration rates of urban services in Noida area which are Rs 2.18 paise per kilometre. Similarly, contract drivers working in rural services of Noida region and Kaushambi, Sahibabad and Loni depots under NCR region, rural services of all the depots established under NCR region, contract drivers of Sonauli, Siddharthnagar and Maharajganj depots near the international border of Gorakhpur region. And there has been no change in the remuneration rates of contract workers of suburban services. Like before, they will be paid at the rate of Rs 2.18 per kilometer.
New Excellent Incentive Scheme
The new excellent incentive scheme includes two years of continuous service for drivers, four years of continuous service for conductors, 288 days of duty and completion of 78,000 kilometers in the financial year, no accident in the financial year, remuneration Rs 12,593, incentive Rs 7000. Will be payable i.e. a total of Rs 19,593 will be available under the New Excellent Incentive Scheme. Contract drivers will be paid Rs 1000 till December 2023 for accident-free bus operation. In case of an accident in any month, the person will be removed from this scheme for the next one year and will be given kilometer based remuneration. After being selected in the scheme, one will have to do 24 days duty and operate buses for 6000 kilometers in a month.
New Uttam Incentive Scheme
Naveen Uttam Incentive Scheme also includes two years of continuous service for drivers, four years of continuous service for conductors, 288 days of duty and completion of 66,000 kilometers in the financial year, no accident in the financial year, remuneration Rs 12,593, incentive Rs 4000. Will be payable Rs. That means a total of Rs 16,593 will be available under the Naveen Uttam Incentive Scheme. Contract drivers will be paid Rs 1000 till December 2023 for accident-free bus operation. In case of an accident in any month, the person will be removed from this scheme for the next one year and will be given kilometer based remuneration. After being selected in the scheme, one will have to do duty for 22 days in a month and operate buses for 5000 kilometers.
