3 pairs of Patna flights canceled due to fog, dozens of trains of Bihar including Rajdhani Express running late by hours

Three pairs of Patna flights canceled

The first flight to be canceled at Patna airport was IndiGo’s 6E2769, which arrives in Patna from Delhi at 10:10 am. The second flight was IndiGo’s flight 6E7944 from Deoghar to Patna, while the third flight was IndiGo’s 6E5173 coming from Mumbai at 8:25 pm. Apart from this, seven flights arrived late. Among these, SpiceJet flight SG8721 coming from Delhi arrived and departed late by more than five hours. Its arrival time is 10:20 am, whereas it arrived at 3:59 pm.

Airlines also affected

The SpiceJet flight coming from Hyderabad was delayed by two hours and nine minutes at 5:14 pm instead of 3:05 pm. Apart from this, Indigo flight 6E2043 arriving from Mumbai at 3:15 pm was delayed by 26 minutes. Indigo flight 6E2445, arriving from Delhi at 4 pm, arrived and departed 33 minutes behind schedule. Indigo flight 6E895, arriving from Kolkata at 6:50 pm, arrived 17 minutes behind schedule. The other two planes arrived and departed less than 15 minutes late.

Rajdhani Express and Magadh Express are also quite late

Severe cold and dense fog have increased the problems of the people. The fastest train, Rajdhani Express and Magadh Express, reached Patna late. Delhi Rajdhani reached Patna nine hours late, while Magadh Express arrived four and a quarter hours late. Due to fog, Mahananda train had to be cancelled, and many flights arrived and departed late at Patna airport. Also, two pairs of flights had to be canceled due to fog. Even though it was Sunday due to the cold winds in Patna city, people were seen avoiding leaving their homes. At the same time, there was moderate to dense fog in most areas of the state. Due to high amount of moisture in the atmosphere, water drops were felt in the form of spray. Meteorologists call this ‘cold injury’.

Muzaffarpur route trains are being rescheduled for 15 hours

In Muzaffarpur too, trains are running late due to fog and NI work. The situation is that due to running late, trains are being rescheduled by up to 15 hours. In such a situation, the train is reaching Delhi late by 24 to 25 hours. On December 29, the train running from Darbhanga was rescheduled by 15 hours 45 minutes. Due to this, this clone train reached New Delhi 24 hours late on 31st December. Due to route diversion on Sunday, this train is running late by six hours. Along with this, Vaishali Express is also running late by six hours. On the other hand, Mithila going from Raxaul to Howrah also reached Muzaffarpur Junction late by two hours and 40 minutes at 4.20 in the evening. There was a situation of chaos when the train going from Udaipur City to New Jalpaiguri reached the junction.

Katihar route trains also affected due to fog

Trains on Katihar route are also affected due to fog. Due to the increasing smog, it seems as if brakes have been applied on the speed of about a dozen trains including the Rajdhani trains. Most of the trains going from East Central Railway to North East and trains going from North East to East Central are running late. Let us tell you that it is not only railway passengers who have to face problems during the winter season. In fact, Railways also suffer loss of revenue. Long distance trains often run late due to fog. Many trains also have to be cancelled. To ensure that trains are not delayed due to fog, anti fog device lights have been installed in some mail and express trains. Despite this, delays in trains continue at Katihar railway stations.

According to information received from railway sources, 12424 Rajdhani Express going from New Delhi to Dibrugarh was delayed by 2 hours 8 minutes. Apart from this, 15654 Jammu Tawi Express going from Jammu Tawi to Guwahati was delayed by 6 hours 31 minutes, 156 35 Okha to Guwahati Dwarka Express was delayed by one hour 22 minutes and 19601 train going from Udaipur to NJP was delayed by four hours 17 minutes. Apart from this, trains like Express Train, Mail Passenger, Fast Passenger DMU, ​​MEMU etc. have been partially delayed.
