Mahavir Temple has completed preparations for the arrival of the new year 2024. Since January 1st is the first day of the English New Year, a large number of devotees come to Mahavir Temple to have darshan of their idol and seek his blessings. Since January 2 is the first Tuesday of the new year, a large number of devotees will come to Mahavir Temple.

20 thousand kg Naivedyam will be prepared

Keeping in view the possibility of a large number of devotees coming during these two days, various arrangements have been made. 20 thousand kg Naivedyam will be prepared by Mahavir Temple for two days. From the morning of 31st December, the team of skilled artisans of Tirupati will start preparing Naivedyam. Naivedyam, which has received the Bhog Certificate from the Government of India, will be made by more than 70 artisans from Tirupati.

Prasad will be made from pure cow’s ghee

Naivedyam prepared in pure desi cow ghee is the main prasad of the famous Mahavir temple with two idols. Secretary of Mahavir Temple Trust, Acharya Kishore Kunal said that there has been a tradition of devotees coming to Mahavir Temple in large numbers on the arrival of the New Year. In view of this, necessary preparations have been made by the temple management on the basis of past experiences.

6 priests will come from Ayodhya

6 priests are coming specially for this event from Ayodhya to offer Prasad etc. to the devotees with great intensity. Adequate number of priests will be present in the sanctum sanctorum of Mahavir Temple on January 1 and 2. Mahavir Temple volunteers will be deployed for crowd management. Apart from this, a demand has been made from the district police administration to deploy 120 policemen. In this regard, a letter has been given to the concerned police officials including the Senior Superintendent of Police. In view of the crowd, a letter has also been sent to the District Magistrate to maintain law and order.

A large number of priests will be deployed on January 1

Police personnel and officials will be deployed in Mahavir Temple from early morning on 1 January. Magistrates will also be there for crowd management and law and order. Apart from this, 100 private security personnel will also be deployed on behalf of Mahavir Temple. The entry gate of Mahavir Temple will open for devotees from 5 am. There will be separate queues for male and female devotees.

Surveillance will be done through CCTV

Along with Jagran Aarti at 5 in the morning, the doors of the main sanctum sanctorum containing the two idols of Hanuman ji and Ram Darbar will be opened for the devotees. Devotees will line up and offer Prasad etc. To welcome the New Year, all three peaks of Mahavir Temple are being decorated with attractive lights. Full care will be taken to ensure that the devotees coming to Mahavir Temple do not face any difficulty. Continuous monitoring will be maintained through CCTV cameras.
