2 PLFI militants arrested from Khunti, used to work for area commander Lambu

Khunti District Police has arrested two members of PLFI from Adki police station area. The arrested members include Samu Munda and Boyer Singh Purti. Police have recovered a pistol, two bullets, PLFI form and Rs 2000 of levy from them.

SDPO Varun Rajak told in a press conference on Wednesday that both are members of the gang of PLFI area commander Lambu alias Radung Bodra. Both of them used to spread terror among the people and collect levy in the name of the organization at the behest of Area Commander Lambu in Kochang, Tubil, Muchiya and Dolda areas of Adki.

The police had received information that they were going to come to collect the levy. Based on the information, a raid team was formed under the leadership of probationary DSP Rampravesh Kumar. The team arrested him under suspicious circumstances near Dolda Bagri turn. Upon investigation, weapons, pamphlets and money were recovered from them.

Two cases have been registered against the arrested Boyar Singh Purti in Adki and one in Murhu. A case is also registered against Samu Munda in Murhu. The raiding team included probationary DSP Rampravesh Kumar, police inspector Kisun Das, Adki police station in-charge Mukesh Kumar Yadav, police sub-inspector Roshan Khakha and armed forces.
